November is a tough month for trans people with TDoR being an emotional time, and many of us are still reeling from the aftermath of GRA consultation campaigning. So, this month please be extra compassionate to the trans people in your life, and if you’re trans, that means you!
TSN Training Day, 17th November, 11.30-3.30
TSN and NTH run through the hard work of a dedicated bunch of volunteers. We need volunteers to help with all kinds of different things from design and fundraising to group facilitation. Come to our training day to find out more! Email for details.
Trans Space Notts (TSN) meets Monday 5th November, 7-9
**please note the venue has asked that members do not arrive too early, as we only have the room from 7**
Topics for the TSN meeting: (Meeting format): Mental health mutual support. A space to discuss the complexity of navigating MH services whilst trans; Recovering from the GRA consultation debacle (and negative campaigning); Gender euphoria, or the good things about being trans. Positive stories, etc; Final group has no set topic.
TSN is a semi-structured support group for all adults who self-identify under the trans umbrella and those who support them further details here. It is usually the first Monday of every month, contact us for venue details.
New! Mobility Fund for TSN
If you would like to come to TSN but struggle with mobility (either for mental or physical health reasons, which you do not need to disclose), we have limited funds to cover the cost of a taxi. Message our Facebook page or email for how to book.
TDOR/ Trans Meet Up, Tuesday 20 November
The main NTH event on 20th November will be Notts Trans Hub’s TDOR event at Nottingham Contemporary.
A few folks who would be overwhelmed by this event or cannot access it for other reasons will still be doing the usual social meet-up upstairs at Broadway Bar.
