The next informal trans meet-up/social will be on 20 September, it is always the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Open to all trans people and Significant Others, Friends, Family and Allies (SOFFAs), meet upstairs at Broadway bar.

Notts LGBT+ Network
Have launched their new website, and are looking for volunteers (training is mid September), both for the helpline and to support the organisation to develop other projects, including being a steering group member
Action for Trans Health – New Local Group
A new branch of the campaigning group Action for Trans Health is being formed in the Nottingham area. Trans people interested in getting involved in the campaign for better trans healthcare in the area should make contact. Those in the wider Nottinghamshire area are welcome to join, as is anyone who receives healthcare from the Nottingham GIC.
First national helpline for trans survivors of sexual violence
“We are a helpline which offers support to trans people including those who are non-binary and questioning who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lifetime.” details

Been to the GIC or on waiting list in last 3 years? GIRES and Scottish Transgender Alliance are doing this important research
Nottingham GIC are trying to develop a “Gender and Body Dysphoria Scale” they are looking for transgender and cisgender people to complete the survey

Medicine Use Reviews in “Under-served” Communities
Did you know you can ask your pharmacist for a Medicine Use Review? These workshops are researching why some minorities miss out on this service. Participants who take 2 regular medications are invited, a £200 inconvenience allowance will be available Email

If so, the Council are looking to interview you for research into how to support you better, for more info please email
LGBT in Construction Workshop
Women in Construction are also running taster workshops for all LGBT people on 15th September and 19th January – contact them through WIC
LGBTQ and Over 50? Event 21st September 1-3
We are interested in exploring issues around barriers to inclusion that older members within the LGBTQI community may face. Lunch will be provided. Email
