Welcome to the latest Notts Trans Hub Monthly Bulletin.
Reminder: Notts Trans Hub isn’t a group, it’s a communication tool for everyone to use. We do our absolute best to share information with the whole trans community in Notts and be fully inclusive, but we can only do this with your help.
Content Note – please be advised this month’s bulletin mentions upcoming memorial events that may be triggering for some people.
Safer Space Guidelines
Can you help get more people to sign up to these guidelines? An impressive number of groups and organisations already have. The guidelines were put together by a number of online trans groups and then developed by a group of 20 local trans people and allies. They don’t speak for all trans people, but do represent a general consensus about what we, as trans people, want in order to feel included and accepted in a space.
Notts Tran Hub Events?
We don’t organise events as a group, but will try and support events in the community, particularly if they sign up to the safer space guidelines, committing to a protocol to try and be safer spaces for the trans community.

Transgender Day of Remembrance, 20th November
Transgender Day of Remembrance is an international day of remembrance, specifically to remember people who are murdered as a result of trans hate crimes, of which a disproportionate number are trans women of colour. As yet, no specific events that we know of are planned in Notts. Please, if you are planning an event, be aware of the enormous sensitivity of this day, and please take good care of yourselves and each other on and around TDoR.
