Workshop 4.30-6.30 (limited spaces: you need to email to book)
Open Mic 7.00 onwards (open event)
The workshop and open-mic centre trans and genderqueer stories but everybody is welcome to participate if the subject matter touches their personal story.
Gender and sex are endlessly fascinating identities, categories, experiences. Sometimes painful, other times playful, our genders challenge and collide with the worlds we live in. We will be holding an artist-led creative writing workshop, to explore those challenges and collisions and to share our stories.
The workshop will be followed by an open-mic night and social, with vegan food available to buy from 6.30pm. Open to everyone, those attending will be asked to respect the trans-safe space guidelines
You don’t have to come to the workshop to perform at the open mic, and you don’t have to perform to come to the workshop. If you would like to offer to read for others, or would like someone to read for you, please let us know.
Wheelchair access via Beech Ave entrance. Accessible toilets. Let us know in advance if you have any additional needs, dietary requirements or need help with childcare by email
