Spoken Word Event – New date

Sumac centre are hosting a spoken word event on Sunday May 10 for trans folk and their supporters. There will be a workshop from 4.30-6.30, followed by Open Mic at 7 – email us for more info, or if you want to put yourself down for the workshop (limited spaces available).
Please note: The previous date of 22nd March was rescheduled due to a clash


If you haven’t caught it already, you have about a month left on 4OD to catch the historic inclusion of a trans actor (Bethany Black) playing a trans character in Russell T Davies’ spin-off to Cucumber, and with a small part in the main show. Watch Here


In case you missed the announcement, Stonewall are finally including trans people in their remit.
They are also currently engaging in consultation with the bi community.

QT Walks

Trans-friendly walking group for all LGBTIQA folks and their supporters, 2nd Saturday of every month. Next walk is to Trent Lock, starts Sandiacre Lidl car park, 10.45, April 11th, just show up or sign up to the QT Notts email list for more details  or go to the Facebook page.

QT Leics – new Facebook Group

From Beck, Gabriel and QT Leics: We have set up a new Facebook group called QT Leics, just like QT Notts! The aim of this (closed) group is to provide an online social network for LGBTIQA people in Leicestershire and surrounding areas to create social opportunities, events and get togethers.

Age UK asked us to let you know that their over 55 lesbian social group is now open to lesbians with a transgender history – please email for more details
